The Catholic Artists Society and the Thomistic Institute in New York invite you to this fourth event in The Art of the Beautiful series: Professor Alice Ramos of St. John’s University will speak on Beauty and the Real.
Professor Ramos, a member of St. John’s University’s Philosophy department, has also lectured in Philosophy at the University of Navarre. She is a past president of the American Maritain Association and has edited several publications, including Art, Beauty and the Polis, a collection of essays on the subject of the arts from writers in the Thomistic-Aristotelian tradition.
The lecture will be followed by a reception and sung Compline, the nighttime prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours.
Admission is free but space is limited. We encourage you to arrive early to get a seat!
